Triple-A Final Stretch Update

The Rainiers lost at Round Rock on Friday night, 4-3 in another one-run game. Tacoma is now 17-13 in one-run games this season.

The loss was Tacoma’s second straight to open the “Triple-A Final Stretch.” The leader of the Final Stretch is currently the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp. The Miami Marlins Triple-A affiliate not only has an awesome name, but the Jumbo Shrimp are also apparently really good a Triple-A Final Stretches, going 4-0 so far.

Jose Marmolejos homered for Tacoma last night, his 24th of the season and his first since returning to the team. It was Tacoma’s second HR of the Triple-A Final Stretch, so we are up to $100 for Rebuilding Together South Sound. We have eight games remaining to hit homers getting $50/pop for the charity from MiLB.
