No game today – it has been rained out; there will be a split doubleheader on Sunday, July 25 with seven-inning games at 12:05 and 5:05.
Here’s our weekly review of blog posts, in case you missed anything that you might find interesting.
On Monday – after our first rainout of the season – we explained why rainout decisions are being made earlier this year, as a result of MLB’s Covid guidelines.
Tuesday we learned that the Rainiers would be bringing back a pair of outfielders to join the recently added Jarred Kelenic.
On Wednesday – as always in 2021 – we rested.
Sacramento arrived in town on Thursday, so we previewed the series.
On Friday we talked about how the Rainiers played a nine inning game that lasted over four hours the night before, and Cal Raleigh’s hitting streak.
Saturday’s post featured video of the ejections from late in Friday night’s game, while Raleigh’s streak reached 20 games.
That’s it for today. The weather is supposed to clear for Monday’s game, which is set for a 6:05 start. We’ll have the usual pregame post going up around midday.
Oh yeah, I almost forgot – the Rainiers won on a walk-off home run last night!
