Down at Point Ruston and on 6th Ave, Ice Cream Social will have pints ready, they’re scooping cones and cups, and you can pick up the accruements to build your favorite sundae at home.
Or, you know, bring a spoon and finish a pint as you walk. We’re not judging. In fact, at least five of our staffers would do that without any shame.
Getting your ice cream will be just as different as your walk on the local trails. The staff is wearing masks, and some traditional options aren’t available for safety purposes. Ice Cream Social now offers online ordering to speed up your time inside the space so that you can focus on enjoying your favorite flavors.
So yes, you can enjoy some Buttered Pecan, Waffle Pieces, and Hot Fudge during the heat wave. Or a ask for a flavor combination you’ve never tried before, like Lemon-Blueberry with Chocolate. Again, who are we to say what’s right or wrong?
Sarah handles scooping ice cream and community relations for the business. She’s seen all kinds of flavor requests, and is ready to see yours too. Like everyone scooping at Ice Cream Social she looks forward to learning your favorites.
“We do have ice cream regulars, just like in bars and restaurants and coffee shops. We recognize them. Some get the same thing every week and we know what they want. We want to be there for them and summer is our season.”
Ice Cream Social is open, though less social. It’s a six-foot step in the right direction for summer fun.
