Cheney Stadium is a go-to hang out spot for fans of all ages. Whether you’re 8 or 80, baseball shows no bias. We got opportunity to chat with 11-year-old Camden and his 9-year-old sister Avery on some of their favorite parts of baseball & about Rainiers games.
Q: WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE BASEBALL POSITION?
A: “For me, [Camden] it is any position in the outfield because that’s where my favorite player played. Avery likes shortstop and first base because she plays softball, but she doesn’t like third because the sun gets in her eyes.”
Q: WHO IS YOUR FAVORITE PLAYER?
A: “Nori Aoki, I actually got his autograph when he was with the Rainiers. And Avery’s is Robinson Cano, but he is no longer a Mariner.”
Q: WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE PART ABOUT RAINIERS GAMES?
A: “Getting a bunch of autographs and catching fly balls.”
Q: WHO DO YOU LIKE COMING TO GAMES WITH?
A: “Our parents mostly.”
Q: WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE SNACK AT A BASEBALL GAME?
A: “Pizza & hot dogs.”
